All of the organisers are involved in regular preaching and value the first chances that they got to preach. The group is chaired by Bishop Jo Wells, the Bishop of Dorking. This year, the organisers are delighted to be inviting a separate panel of judges, to be announced in due course.

Bishop Jo
Bishop Jo chairs our judging panel, and when not doing that can be found carrying our episcopal duties in Guildford Diocese. She has abseiled off the Cathedral tower, organised a prayer event for 5000 people in June and can often be found preaching in many churches all around the diocese.
Here's one she preached earlier!

Dean Dianna Gwilliams
Dean Dianna is the Dean of the Cathedral, and as such is responsible for the 'highest pulpit in Guildford' (above sea level at least!). She is delighted to host the competition in the cathedral, and can often be found on site doing everything from moving furniture to presiding at large services and civic occasions. Dianna can be heard on the Cathedral website here.

Rev. Paul Thomspon
Paul is the Senior Chaplain at Epsom College, (a co-ed Independent School for 11-18 yr olds). He oversees both the worshipping life centred around the chapel, teaches, coaches rugby and football, and is involved in the delivery of pastoral care to all at the College. Paul's sermons are not online, but can be experienced live at chapel if you are a pupil or member of the Epsom College community!

Esther Holley
Esther is the Youth and Children's Worker at St Andrew's Cobham. She has only fairly recently started preaching and works hard to ensure that her sermons communicate across all ages. When she isn't working, Esther has a keen interest in painting (pictures, not houses!) and following the Welsh Rugby team. Esther can be heard on St Andrew's website here.

Glynis Beazley
Glynis is the Vocations Adviser in the diocese, and works hard to encourage everyone to consider their vocation (not vacation, sadly), and how they are called to serve God and the Church. She's been a cover supervisor at a secondary school and in the legal profession. She's also been known to do the occasional talk - but we can't find them on the internet anywhere...

David Welch
David is the Youth Adviser for the Diocese of Guildford, which means he spends as much time as possible encouraging ministry for, with and by young people. When not talking all things youth, David enjoys refereeing rugby matches and wrestling with his 2 children. David can be heard on St Paul's church website here. (go to the 14th May sermon, his wife said it was one of his better ones...)
